The Heart to Heart Support Group was founded by our PICS Specialist Cardiac nurses and commenced in January 2018. The group aims to support patients and their carers, with a heart condition in particular heart failure and atrial fibrillation.
The group takes place on the last Tuesday of each month at 10 am -12 noon at:- Tesco Toton community room, Tesco, Swiney Way, Toton, NG9 6GX.
Each month the group structure comprises of speakers giving educational talks and discussions to help patients with their heart conditions and in May 2018 the discussion was on medications for the heart which the group found really useful. At the next support group on the 26th June 2018 10 am-12 noon there will be a speaker from Let’s Talk Wellbeing focusing on the psychological support for people with heart conditions.
