Final year GP trainees  from Nottingham, Derby and Mansfield were invited to a Clinical Skills Assessment Training session facilitated by Dr Paul Scullard and hosted by PICS at Eastwood Primary Care Centre on 23rd November. The session was well received with 30 GP trainees attending on the day.

The students were split into smaller groups with a GP trainer for each group who encouraged the students participation and feedback in a number of specimen patient case scenarios as well as useful presentations from Paul Scullard and Dr Kelvin Lim.

We would like to thank the GP trainers Dr Reshmi Dickson, Dr Mark Dickson, Dr Gavin Lunn, Dr Sophie Walker, Dr Beth Homer Dr Syed Zaidi and Dr Paul Scullard for giving up their Saturday morning to provide an invaluable revision session for the ST3 GP students.

Below is the excellent feedback results from all of the 30 ST3 GP trainees that attended:-

100% found the course details clear, content relevant and well presented.
100% of the attending students would recommend this session to friends if we ran more in the future.

Over half also left comments all positive, many found the session invaluable, appreciated the constructive scenario feedback and praised the skilled GP trainers for giving up their time to help the students.

Following this success we hope to run another CSA session next year.
