This will be a dual role with staff members working across our General Practices as a First Contact Physiotherapist, and as an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist within a larger physiotherapy team.
In the First Contact Physiotherapist role you will be aligned to a PCN and will work closely with the member practices to include First Contact Physiotherapy as part of their patient offer. This will include seeing patients, without prior contact with their GP, to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plan.
In the Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist role you will work within the integrated team triaging all orthopaedic referrals to secondary care as well as reviewing patients face-to-face, completing relevant investigations, discussing and carrying out a range of treatment options in line with evidence based pathways, and making appropriate onward referrals.
This is an ideal role for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering high quality, joined up clinical management of musculoskeletal conditions. Successful candidates will be provided with a comprehensive induction plan, mentorship and ongoing support. Support will also be given to undertake any necessary additional training.
These roles will be employed by Primary Integrated Community Services (PICS). PICS is an innovative and rapidly expanding Primary Care organisation who have extensive experience in employing a range of clinical specialists including pharmacists, community nursing teams, and social prescribers.
