PICS is a finalist in the Nottingham Post’s 2021 Annual Business Awards, which highlights innovative companies who boost the economy and make a positive contribution to the local community. After a rigorous shortlisting process that included interviews with panels of judges, PICS is listed in two categories as Employer of the Year and for Excellence in Innovation.

In the first awards since the pandemic started, the judges focussed on recognising businesses that came out of the pandemic stronger than ever, despite restrictions, challenges and uncertainty. The awards final, which will take place on 14 October 2021, will be attended by hundreds of Nottinghamshire’s business elite and promises to be a celebration of the county’s best companies and a reminder that Nottinghamshire is a great place to do business.

Employer of the Year:  shortlisted by George Square Financial Management, this award honours the region’s top employers and recognises the best places to work in the area. PICS is one of three shortlisted companies who demonstrated strong investment in employees as well having a reward scheme and other key employee benefits. Criteria for finalists including being able to demonstrate that the safety and security of our staff being of the utmost importance. In an article on the Notts Post website, they say: “It takes a lot to be a good employer – having to run a business and balance the need to ensure employees are performing at their best, with the need to create a workspace that is encouraging, healthy, and gives employees a sense of fulfilment. Doing so is no mean feat, and the Employer of the Year category celebrates those that meet such a standard.”

Excellence in Innovation: Selected by Gateley Legal this award celebrates companies that have made strides in their field, be it creating or introducing something new within the industry, while continuing to strengthen the regional economy. As finalists, PICS has been judged on the quality of our services, our dedication to performance (quality), our commitment to innovation and the sustainability of our business model.

Kelvin Lim, Medical Director of PICS said, “Our staff have been within the heart of the response to Covid in Nottinghamshire. We have got out there to find and care for the most vulnerable, joined up with our partners to support the vaccination programme, and done our utmost to continue to care for patients in their homes and communities. We’ve also expanded our numbers to provide new support for PCNs, helping reduce pressures on GPs and hospitals. Yet during this really difficult time, staff have reported the highest levels of satisfaction with PICS as an employer. That’s a testament to how hard we’ve worked to support each other and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved.”
