In July 2022, PICS welcomed Karen Frankland to a new position of Deputy Managing Director.
Previously Nottingham CityCare’s Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Business, Marketing, IT & Estates, Karen is a talented leader who brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record of productive partnership working.
The new role is designed to support growth of PICS following the success of significant investment into primary care networks, and growing demand for our expertise in supporting general practice, services within communities and out of hospital clinics.
Ali Rounce, Managing Director said:
I’m delighted Karen has joined our Leadership Team. I know that she shares our ethos of caring and is all about being ‘can do’. Karen’s appointment will enable us to remain agile and responsive, while making sure we act responsibly towards our staff and patients. We’re really excited to have her on board.”
In a message to staff, Karen said:
“PICS is a fleet of foot, flexible partner and has a caring culture for staff and patients. I‘ve seen the quality of the offer and how hard staff work for patients as I’ve been doing defined projects with PICS since 2017. It’s the unique PICS ethos that I think makes here such a great place to be.
“It’s an exciting time. PICS is responding to the changing landscape from commissioners and being heavily involved in provider alliances. I’m looking forward to further demonstrating the value and impact of investment in primary and community care.”
